Show & Tell Season 2 Week 5

The end of week 5 and with just one more until half-term, it’s hard to believe that we are in February already. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this week’s Show & Tell. Keep on sending in your pictures and updates, we love seeing them all. Items for the next Show & Tell should be sent to admin.kirmington@northlincs.gov.uk by the end of next Saturday (13th).

Why not take a look at what the children at St. Helena’s have been up to?

Alex, Year 5, has been using his measuring skills and maths work to make bread buns today. Not too bad for a first attempt. Slightly easier than the Anglo Saxon way!!!
Hope everyone is staying safe and not too bored.

Euan enjoyed making his periscope as part of his school work
Cerys enjoyed making a happy jar 😊
Euan and Cerys both enjoyed doing tie dye this week too.

Jake and Ben have had a good week. Their Grandma bought them some guinea pigs last Saturday which they have name Jeremy and Bob! They have made a car which is part of Bens home-schooling worksheet I and they found a big puddle in Grandmas field and down at the park, where they also climbed the tree! Jake had a go at Anglo Saxon bread which was quite hard to eat but they both liked it! Hoping to be able to get the sledges out this Sunday!
Take care everyone Jake and Ben

This week we’ve had a busy week getting bits sorted for our loft conversion and Violet’s been a great help tidying up with her wheelbarrow.

Busy as a bee 🐝 this week! 🤩

We’ve completed a puzzle 🧩 of jungle animals naming each one perfectly. 🐯
Darcy enjoyed completing some more home work 📝 and we even enjoyed making some fairy buns and Darcy decorated them all on her own. 🎂 Don’t think they’ll last long, they look really yummy! 🤤

Well this week has been fun again. All school work complete and time to learn 2 new games. Bananagram and boggle – learnt new words and spellings. Had a lovely walk in the woods and played in dens and up trees. We have made home made pizza and Daisy made Anglo Saxon honey bread. Evie is happy we got time to build her Harry Potter Lego, she got for Christmas.

Take care everyone, stay safe xx

We had a good walk to look at the flooding and William decided to take a swim in it 🙈 he then had to empty his Wellies off water and squelched all the way home! Oliver was crying with laughter and when William was about to get told off he said “Mum it’s all about making memories” how could I then tell him off! I was so proud at that point.

“Hi everyone we have had a quiet activity week as our teacher Grandma wasn’t very well, so we had a substitute stand in teacher (teacher Grandad) for a couple of days. Secretly (but don’t tell Grandad), we are glad teacher grandma is back. We have been doing our schoolwork as usual: we liked the maths but didn’t like our English. We loved drawing the parrots for our art class and we have entered them in the FOBS Facebook competition.

We had fun on Friday – Hayley and Felicity decided they too wanted to wear glasses like Emily so we had a Wear Glasses to School day. As we were very good for our substitute teacher and did some good schoolwork, Grandma bought us each an LOL comic as a reward. We love them.

We miss School so much, but enjoy seeing our class mates and Miss Sanderson on Fridays on the team meeting.

Mrs. Murray we hope you feel better soon and send you a virtual hug. Thank you to all the teachers and everyone in school for all your hard work and support during this Lockdown – hopefully we will be all back together soon. Keep Safe. Only one more week before half term yippee!!!!!!”

from Emily, Hayley & Felicity
