Show & Tell Season 2 Week1

Week 1 of this term and whilst this wasn’t how we had hoped to catch up on all your news, it’s lovely to see what you have been getting up to at home. I know the staff will be delighted to see your pictures and read about what you have done and will look forward to seeing how you are getting on in the weeks to come. Remember if you want to take part in next week’s Show & Tell, you need to email your photo’s and/or written news to admin.kirmington@northlincs.gov.uk by the end of next Saturday.

Why not take a look at what the children at St. Helena’s have been up to?

Kaiser built an Army Base and Bunker with his new sand that Santa brought for him. He spent hours creating and playing with it ❤️

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jack from year 3 started the lockdown by baking these gorgeous cupcakes
Violet has been helping cook tea every day and then writing her meals down, eating them and then marking them out of 10 😆
James Goulding has been working hard on his home pack but his absolute favourite thing is art, as we aren’t going to the shops we used what we could to learn and make a birthday present for his Nanna.
James crafted a beautiful besom from gathered wood, used glue, twine and used a saw to cut branches. We talked throughout about how nature is different through the year, seasons and how this relates to his Greek Gods story work from his home pack.
Euan and Cerys have had a busy week 😊
*Cerys helped to make tea and tried Kale for the first time!
Then Cerys made an angel pudding which she ate most of by herself!
*Euan has started a bit of sewing 🧵 making a keyring robot. Not finished yet but it’s work in progress 🤖
Nancie made a snow globe by recycling an old bottle that had lights.
This week Sam’s done some healthy baking – fruity oaty breakfast biscuits (which we’re so good half had gone by the time I took a picture!) and some Quentin Blake style art.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Although the weather is a lot colder than last time we have been enjoying spending some time outside! This week Evelyn made nature ice baubles and had fun making frozen bubbles on the frosty grass ❄️

Thank you St B staff for such fantastic remote learning with such short notice.  All three children engaged and enjoyed their learning.
This week Robert looked at the story Lost and Found and Elise and Bella helped with his phonics to make words to feed the penguin in the story.
Bella found some big ice and enjoyed playing outside looking for more ice and wishing for snow.
Elise has started a drawing using a mix of water colour pens, blended pencils and oil pastels that she is hoping to finish next week.
Hope everyone is safe and well.
