Show & Tell Week 13

Thank you to everyone who has submitted items for Show and Tell this week. Another week of mixed weather but, once again, you haven’t let this stop you. It’s National Sports Week at Home this coming week and it runs from Saturday 20th through to Friday 26th June. Mr Marsh and Mrs Hammond are certainly looking forward to seeing lots of sports based news in the next Show & Tell and if you want to take part in the next Show & Tell, please send photos and/or a sentence or two, to by the end of next Saturday.

“Some gory finds in these photos …. beware!!

We have done loads of walking this week and found skulls, animal legs and fungi. We watched the buzzards and sparrow hawk. One of the walks, the path was flooded so we had to take a longer path home but it was fun. We have been foraging and made elderflower cordial and rose cordial. We made a courgette and pansy cake. We have collected flowers and have them in a press and we have also had a teddy bears carpet picnic.

Take care everyone .

Love Daisy and Evie.”

Owen’s been busy this week learning all about the water cycle and keeping up with his maths work both from school and on the Numerise site. He’s been practising his writing and verbal reasoning and completed simply the best piece of work which we sent to Mrs Emms to read as well.

Last weekend with the change in, rules Owen’s sister Jemma was able to come and visit and stay overnight which he was overjoyed about. We lit the firepit in the garden and toasted some marshmallows on it as well. We don’t know when we will next see Jemma now, as she has moved, so is no longer living alone so the support bubble doesn’t apply but we still video call regularly.
Our baking this week was flapjack again: Owen has mastered this recipe and did 99% of it himself – it tasted lovely. The weather looks to be improving again over the next week so we will hopefully be able to do some more work outside in the fresh air.
He sends his love to everyone and hopes everyone is keeping safe x

This week the girls went to see some miniature sausage dog puppies. (Thankfully we only had to distance from the people and not the puppies!) They have now made it their mission to convince us that a sausage dog is an essential house hold must have…
Bella did some money maths and made ice pops with her brother using lots of different ingredients.
Elise has decided this time off of school and ballet allows her to experiment with hair colour….
Hope everyone has had a nice week.

This week we are really proud that we have achieved our second Maths Factor Gold Cup and have also been completing the times table checks.

We have been for a long walk on Cleethorpes beach with our nana (who has now joined our bubble) and mum to collect lots of shells.  After washing them all we set to with a piece of wood and hot glue gun and made some shell art which is now displayed in the bathroom.

We are missing everyone but hope you are all staying well and safe.

Love Chloe and Lauren xxxx
