It’s hard to believe that we are at week 14 of Show & Tell and that there are only a couple of weeks left of term. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this weeks’ page. If you want to take part in the next Show & Tell, please send photos and/or a sentence or two, to firstname.lastname@example.org by the end of next Saturday.

Had a lovely camp out in the garden toasting marshmallows and bacon butty for breakfast! Yummy.
Had a morning of experimenting. The lava lamp looked ok. Not so much luck with our dancing raisens, our fizzy water wasn’t very fizzy! So Oscar decided to drink it! Our favourite was squirting the glue gun in glitter water to create swirly shapes. Paddling pool time now. Bye x
This week Jess has been very excited as she has celebrated her 9th birthday! We celebrated with pancakes for breakfast, fish and chips for tea, and lots of birthday cake to finish off with ??
Jess was lucky enough to receive a cookery book so is now keen to try out a few different recipes, although I’m sure she will still continue to make flapjack as she now knows the recipe off by heart ?
We also tried jam making this week as our neighbours had lots of raspberries and strawberries, and they were kind enough to share them with us ? We are looking forward to eating it ?
We hope everyone is continuing to stay safe ??
This Week the kids enjoyed an ice-cream break from their school work! Bella enjoyed going on a scavenger hunt around the village that Elise wrote for her and Robert, and then writing about what she found. They found everything on the list except for pine cones, maybe next time.
Bella read and wrote a review about the book MIXED this week.
The Trampoline is still the favourite spot for reading in the warm weather, with time in the paddling pool in between to cool down.
Elise had her 3rd zoom book club meeting with her dance friends. They just finished the Little Prince and for their next book they are reading Evie’s ghost, they meet again in 2 weeks and take turns choosing books and writing a quiz.
They are still trying hard for a puppy…. and loved pictures of the puppy from last week!
Hope everyone is safe and well.
*Euanand Cerys have been strawberry picking this week?
*Cerys has made another cake! ?
*Euan followed the instructions and put together our new fans!
We have had a very busy week and had lots of adventures! We went for a picnic to Normanby Hall and took our bikes to practice without our stabilisers. We also fed the ducks (it was Felicity’s first time and she loved it!). On Friday we went for a walk through Broughton woods to look for the fairy houses. We were very tired in the end as Grandma got lost but we did do our 10,000 steps that day!
We have been working hard on our school work too. We have also decorated our own plates. Mummy has taken them back to the shop to be put in the kiln but we will show pictures of the finished plates when we get them back next weekend! Felicity has been obsessed with bubbles this week so we were trying to blow the biggest bubbles! Until she had an accident with the bottle emptying on the carpet and mummy wasn’t happy!

“Hello everyone, we have not had many walks due to the weather being too hot. We have been foraging again – for gooseberries this time. Our sunflowers are growing well. We bathed the rabbit and the tortoise this week. Mrs Jackson: we think 1 skull was a badger and the other a rabbit. When we go back that way we shall collect it for you to draw. Everyone enjoyed the cake except Daisy. It didn’t taste like courgettes .. take care, love Daisy and Evie”
This week Owenhas been busy completing his work, he’s done lots of science experiments on evaporation as well as keeping up with his maths and reading plus. The weather was lovely so we managed to do some work in granny’s back garden for a change of scenery. We made cherry scones this week they were delicious. Owen was extremely pleased to see Mrs Welton with his next lot of work and his report we all got very emotional reading it.
He send his love to everyone and hopes they are all keeping safe and well xx
