We have had a cheeky evening trip to the beach last week for a chippy and ice cream, we walked out to the sea and had lots of fun, enjoying the fresh sea air and a tiny bit of normality. We have been doing some reading too and can’t wait for the libraries to be opening up again to change our books. We have been busy at the big allotment and have some more veggies growing now our little allotment at home is coming on really well too with some strawberry harvests which didn’t make it very far and Dylan our big brother didn’t get a chance to try any as the girls ate them straight away. We hope you are all keeping well

“Hello everyone, this week we have done loads of school work and yet more foraging. We made 9 jars of cherry jam, a cherry pie and 3 jars of seedless raspberry jam. We found the blue and red bug when we were out walking. Altogether so far we have collected 14.5lb of raspberry, 13lb of cherry and 1.2lb gooseberry. Stay safe everyone.
Love Daisyand Evie“
Owen has been busy this week learning about light and shadows and also about parables and the Muslim faith. He’s been busy completing his maths and also doing his PE each day. He enjoyed writing about his memories of a school year and also making one of the no bake recipes for his design and technology and designing the packaging.
We had a zoom presentation with Vale this week and have another zoom meeting on Monday so secondary school is getting closer ?.
Owen sends his love to everyone and is looking forward to seeing you all at the year 6 leavers picnic when the date gets confirmed x
We hope you are keeping well.
Amy has worked steadily through her home learning pack over the last couple of weeks, and has enjoyed many activities. The perseverance she has shown makes me feel incredibly proud.
For creative time Amy has spent time colouring and making slime. She has also enjoyed rediscovering some of the toys she hasn’t played with for a while.
Our week now includes an exercise plan that Amy created for us both. We do this every other day and are really enjoying this time together.
This weekend, Amy found the courage to do a somersault on the trampoline which she has been trying to master for a while now. I’m hoping she hasn’t included it on our exercise programme! ?
Sending lots of love and our very best wishes,
Leanne, Dave, Sam and Amyxxxx
This week the girls had an arty week. Elise finished a pencil sketch of a photograph she took of her brother and Bella did a family portrait of us reimagined as turtles.
We drove past their dance studio which all three are really missing. We went to visit our friends the puppies again before they go off to their new homes, the ‘please can we have a dog’ requests are still strong…
The girls have launched a fundraising campaign for one of their favourite places, after the Beamish museum put a video on instagram asking for donations. And went through their rooms looking for toys and books to try and sell.
