Show & Tell Week 2

Wow! You’ve all been incredibly busy and creative again this week, judging by all the wonderful pictures and captions you have sent about what you have been up. If you want to take part in the next Show & Tell, please send photos and/or a sentence or two, to admin.kirmington@northlincs.gov.uk by the end of next Saturday.

Here is a photo of James and Corban doing their work. As you can see James is thrilled and loving life in isolation, Corban is not so impressed hahaha. However, some homemade American pancakes did cheer Corban up after though, so the day was saved with mummy’s cooking.
We have also created our own Science project with some tadpoles, the boys are documenting their growth and we shall donate the frogs to local ponds.

Francesca Year 6 worked really hard all last week. She had lots of walks and outside time. She played Japanese game of life with sister Phoebe, please see photo. Luckily some of it was in English so they navigated the rules between them. Challenging but fun!

Ella-Marie has been super busy making sandwiches for her brother and sisters and enjoying an indoor picnic! As well as weighing out ingredients and making chocolate chip buns ?

Jacob has been enjoying PE lessons with Joe Wicks as well as completing all of his handwriting today !

Blake has been keeping busy with lots of different activities. A little school work, some time in the garden, fun family times with mom and a lot of creating. He cant wait to get back to school to show everyone his creations

Harrison Yr 4. Loving isolation, playing, learning and having lots of fun. He has written a story and designed a poster about different types of weather and how the weather can affect us. We are making a rain gauge for our garden tomorrow, to measure the rain fall during the week. Even though he his having fun and enjoying being at home, I know he is missing all his lovely friends.

It has been another busy week in the Tuck home making catapults, glitter lamps, sailing boats, building Lego friendship bus and a Lego house to doing spellings; active learn, maths, English and lots of reading of course.  The girls are missing school and all of their friends.  We all hope you have a happy and safe Easter.

This week we’ve discovered some great interactive games on Twinkl. We had difficulty logging on to some of the websites due to the high demand but Twinkl seemed to work for us.

Alex and his brother Thomas have made paper aeroplanes, bottle sand art and painted bird houses.

1) Jonah has been doing some writing in his sentence book, and wanted to share this little snippet of how good his writing is getting. He also found his sentence very funny! (mummy not so much).

2) We made a rainbow picture for the rainbow trail.

3) Playing teachers and writing his name on the chalk board.. Students sssh!

4) Jonah made a boat with a life raft, flag and telescope (mummy helped).

5 & 6) Jonah has made a dog and ferris wheel out of magnetic shapes.

1 & 2) Oscar coloured his Easter picture and wrote the words to his favourite Easter song.

3) Oscar says, “This is what my uncle James sent me, he’s in Oman at the moment working. This task may take me a while!!”

4) Some helpful bits to help find the places on the globe or map. Oscar is enjoying looking and surprised that James works with lots of different people.

Ewan says, “Home school has been fun. We’ve been doing Maths and History and the Great Fire of London. We’ve done some literacy and Science. In Science we found some bugs, looked at them, drew them and then described them. We’ve done lots of exercise and tried to do Joe Wicks. I’ve enjoyed spending time with my Daddy and cuddling”.

Me and my dad have been super busy,we’ve built a tree house and a swing.

My mum and I did a lot of gardening.
I made art using an old library card! We all also went on a bike ride together

Evelyn has enjoyed completing the challenges this week! She has also done lots of crafts and has made some bird feeders for the garden.

Seth has had a busy week this week. We have done maths, baking, crafting and lots of reading! We also tried drawing with chalks and completed the crafts challenge that school set.

2) Snack Time: Eloise made up a price list of their favourite snacks. Only £1 per day to spend. Hopefully we won’t run out of snacks too quickly now!

Hayley and Emily Lusby (Year 2) have really enjoyed taking part in the daily challenges, abily assisted by baby sister Felicity (oh and daddy!)

Jess has been working hard again this week and has achieved a pb for her times tables grid, as well as beginning to write a book review on The Beano. She has also been perfecting her baking skills!

Cole’s been busy planting vegetables and lots of other fun things. He’s also really enjoyed the challenges this week and looked forward to the texts.

Riley & Ellie-Mae have been enjoying doing the activities on Education City & RMeasimaths on their tablets. As well as baking brownies & crispy cakes!
They both miss all the teachers and their friends and hope everyone is staying safe!

Jake making a graph about different temperatures in different countries. They have had a busy week this week they have also done lots of biking. They have biked from Brigg to Barnetby on Monday, then Barnetby to Brigg on Friday and in between all that some more biking!! They will be fit by the time they go back to school?

We have enjoyed another busy week! Sam and Amy have continued to work hard on their multiplication grids; timing themselves to try and beat their score from the day before.
Sam weighed his own ingredients to make flapjack. This is the first thing Sam has ever baked at home! Amy made cupcakes with chocolate buttercream. Amy loves to cook and has baked many cakes; always weighing out her own ingredients. Sam has enjoyed drawing and listening to music this week. I have attached a few of our favourite pictures he has drawn. Amy painted sticks she collected from the park and made an Easter tree for her bedroom 🙂 As well as Joe Wicks fast becoming a part of our daily routine, we have also enjoyed some football at the park.Wishing everyone a very happy Easter.
