Harry & Charlie have had a busy few weeks. With it being the holidays and lovely weather we have spent lots of time outside, exploring Barnetby and playing in the garden. We have walked miles!
One day we took our notebooks and did a tally chart of all the animals we saw and drew block graphs when we got home. There are lots of horses in Barnetby!
We’ve done lots of Easter activities… making cards and posting them to family, Easter cake baking (and eating!) and an Easter egg hunt in our garden!
We’ve also enjoyed some colouring challenges and particularly enjoyed the #drawwithrob tutorials on you tube!

Harrison Yr 4 has been very busy over Easter and enjoying lots of fun in the sun. He made his rain gauge (no rainfall as yet, we are not wishing for rain though as we are loving the sun). He has enjoyed doing some baking with his sister and loved our Easter egg hunt. We went on a bike ride and Harrison did some little jumps which he was really proud to achieve.

Well we have been super busy painting rainbows, doing some learning, decorating biscuits, cooking, helping dad make some decking, using the trampoline, joe wicks, watching the live zoo feeds at chester. Looking after our neighbours dog whilst they are working (no contact with the neighbour!) Playing football, the kids have been facetiming their friends, we have been having regular walks, but most of all we have been staying inside and spending time together!!

Daniel has been having a very creative and playful time at home. He learnt how to ride his bike successfully without stabilizers and is riding circles all around us. Also he is continuing with maths with online games and building train tracks everywhere in the house. As well as helping grandad in the garden. But most of all he is missing his friends at school. 🙂

Darcy’s been missing her gymnastics class this week so she’s been busy practicing in the garden.
We had an Easter egg hunt in the garden which we had to follow a map to find the eggs. So much funny!!

“Dear Mrs Byrne,
Not only this week has Nathan continued with his skill book and reading plus, he has also carried on with math tests and is now scoring 30 out of 32. He is now going to be timed again, now he has the methods. As a reward of his hard work and with mum actually being home we spent some much needed time together and built a rocket together. All recycled. Nathan can’t wait to bring it in to school.”

Jake and Ben have had a busy week again. They have done lots of biking and walking our dog Minnie. Ben has managed to train her to run over the dog agility equipment. Ben is also into playing card games, he likes the game 21. Ben made his cousin Emily a lovely birthday card as she was 3 on Thursday. So far in this lockdown they have done 64 miles of biking!!
They are keeping very busy and we hope everyone is keeping well.

Hope you have all had a lovely Easter.  We have been busy in the Tuck household with the girls doing lots of baking with Dad, Ferrero Rocher (made using Weetabix, melted chocolate and chocolate hazelnut spread……yum), sausage rolls, veggie pasties and Easter Rice Krispie cakes.  The girls hope you enjoyed your chocolate muffins Mrs Murray and Mrs Healy.  Chloe has been enjoying getting her favourite lunch ready, roasted sweet potato and halloumi cheese salad.
We have also for the past 10 days been watching caterpillars grow and tomorrow will be moving them into the butterfly habitat.  It has been amazing to see the transformation in just 10 days and can not wait to see them hatch into beautiful butterflies.
The girls have also been enjoying the Lego building lessons on a Tuesday and Thursday on Legoland Trafford Centre Facebook page.  Whilst mum was working they made lots of beautiful rainbow hearts for the key workers which are now fill our windowsill.
As mum and dad have both been working we have tried to keep to some routine and have found that the girls are really enjoying doing Carol Vorderman’s maths factor 30 day challenge which is free to join up to as well as doing lots of reading.
Finally we have been trying to get out for a bike ride or a walk each day and are thankful for the beautiful weather we have been having.
Take care and stay safe everyone
Love Chloe & Lauren xx

This week we found some fungi in the woods and a honey bee nest. We’ve been digging the garden and found a silver coin from 1857. We had a night camping out in the bongo on the drive (it was great fun).
Stay safe everyone.

We hope everyone had a lovely Easter and you’re all safe and well.
This week we had Sports Day which was lots of fun and very competitive. Boys against girls of course!
Sam and Amy have spent time together playing board games in the sunshine, biking around the village and playing on the trampoline.
Amy has enjoyed learning to sew this week as well as painting rainbows on rocks to display around the village.
Sending our very best wishes to everyone.

Well it has been a very busy and productive week in our house. Albeit not so much school work but voluntary work using life skills.
So proud of Abigail this week as she asked if she could use her sewing skills and help me to sew some scrub bags for our front line NHS workers.
With a little practice to start Abigail has gone on to make some scrub bags herself along side the one’s I have done…..up to now 15 have gone to NHS workers and we have another 14 made so far.
Abigail has made one which she will give to her friends mum who is a parent in our school family.
This week we will continue by making Scrub sets with fabric donated by our friend Wendy. Abigail will help again by making the drawstrings to go in the waist of the scrub sets that I will be making. All of this is voluntary to help our NHS to stay safe and save lives.
