Our Chrisitian Values
Love
Love is one of the Kingdom values. It is seen through all the relationships in our school. We strive to love life, love learning and love one another.
‘Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart'. Colossians 3:23
'Love is in everything that we do'

Compassion
Compassion is about having empathy with someone, it is stronger than just 'sympathy'. Empathy causes a desire to act to help others. In our school this can be seen in the way children learn and play together. It is also seen in the way staff and pupils work together and it underpins our strong ethos of inclusion. It is found reflected in our charity work both for local communities and those further afield.
"Paul said, 'Clothe yourself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience." Colossians Ch 3v 12
'Compassion is always being kind'
Hope
For Christians, the source of hope is Jesus. and adding this value reflects the hope we have for all our children and the world. In the middle of a global pandemic hope was vital.
‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.” Mark 9:23
"Hope is knowing that there is light in darkness"

Thankfulness
Thankfulness has always been at the centre of the life and worship of God’s people. Seeing the world as God’s creation underpins the way we approach everything in life, seeing it as a gift and not as a right. We are thankfull in school and share our thanks with others.
‘Give thanks in all circumstances’ (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
'Thankfulness is appeciating everything that we have'
Perseverance
This value reflects our aim to support children to be the very best learners they can and to enable them to persevere in all aspects of their learning developing resilience when things are tricky. Our children demonstrate perseverance when things are challenging whether this is in learing or on the sports' field. It also reflect the lengths our staff go to in ensuring that all our children are supported to be the very best people they can be.
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.’ (Galatians 6:9)
"Perseverance is never giving up"

Forgiveness
Forgiveness is fundamental to the character of God. Throughout the Bible, God is described as slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin (Numbers 14:18).
Jesus was uncompromising in his command to forgive. Forgive, he said, ‘seventy times seven’ (Matthew 18:21). In other words, forgive and keep on forgiving without limit.
If we really want to love we must learn how to forgive.
Friendship
Friendship is a key value in our school. Friends are not afraid to tell the truth to each other and are always there to help in good times and bad. Jesus was often seen to be a friend with those who were outcast in society. He shared meals with his friends just as we share our Agape meal with all our friends to reinforce our values.
‘A friend loves at all times’ Proverbs 17 v17
'Friendship is helping, caring and sharing'

Trust
Trust is the very essence of faith; trust in the God who is trustworthy.Trust is essential to human life and lies at the heart of all relationships. Trust entails vulnerability, putting yourself in others’ hands. We have to trust experts - pilots, dentists, surgeons. Yet, within our society, there often seems to be mutual distrust between people and those responsible for governing them.
Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God. John 14:1
Trust is knowing it will be ok
Peace
Christians believe that God sent Jesus , The Prince of Peace, to give us Peace and harmony and for us to share Peace with one another. The Hebrew term for peace, ‘shalom’, has a deep and complex meaning, encompassing much more than simply the absence of hostility or war. Shalom includes ideas of healing and health, wholeness and well-being. It means harmony, stability and security within a community. It refers to relationships based on truth and righteousness, where people flourish because they are nurtured.
"seek peace and pursue it’ (1 Peter 3:11)
We are gentle
